Carly Simon gave her the sheet music about a month before Jackie died--can it be 15 years ago already? As Jackie treasured the song so much, when Carly attended the wake at her 5th Avenue apartment and asked another friend of Jackie's, Bunny Mellon, if it were possible to place the music on top of the coffin. Bunny told her to do so. But then Ed Schlossberg intervened and scolded Carly for her actions. "Only the grandchildren, Carly, can leave things on the coffin. Who do you think you are?" Carly fled in tears as Ed made quite a scene but on her way out the door, Bunny Mellon asked for the music and promised Carly it would be buried with Jackie. I'm sure Ed has many good qualities but it's moments like this which make him look like a real jerk IMHO.keeblerchttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05284651087554293579noreply@blogger.com
