I just finished reading Heyman's newest book of garbage. Has anyone else read it? If so, let's discuss!

As a child of a deceased parent I understand what it is to remember your parent as someone who was essentially a good man or woman....this book is hurtful and I can't imagine what that family has to go through reading this. It's an interesting story but thats all it should be....not the sublimation of fictitious lies about two people who lived and only ever bonded because they loved one man: Jack. If you buy this book remember that...
I agree 100% about how hurtful this book must be to the Kennedy's. I am so sick of this Heymann guy trying to make more money off the Kennedy family with his half-truths and out and out gossip!
I never read a book of Heymann I've seen him in interviews a couple of times and can't hardly put in words how disgusting he is and how much I loathe him. Every word he says is a lie. If he would say good morning to me I would check if it's really dawn outside! I can't imagine that anyone of the Kennedys ever had something to do with him. Especially not Jackie (Didn't he claim that he was friends with her?) No way!!!
Jessika, I cracked up when I read "if he said good morning, I would check to see if it's really dawn!" That was great!! And loathe is an excellent word.
Rose Kennedy heard rumors about Jackie and Bobby spending time together after Jack's death, rolled her eyes and said "Bobby would never cheat with his brother's widow; he's far too sanctimonious!" I admittedly don't know as much about Bobby as Jack but I have to agree with Rose--and many others who've called this book "bunk." Jack was a "convenient Catholic," who showed up for mass on a regular basis only after being elected President. One Sunday in Palm Beach, he said he didn't want to go and Jackie responded "You got yourself into this so get dressed; we're going to Church!" Bobby, on the other hand, was a very devout Catholic and also worshipped his brother, Jack. I do not believe for a moment he would have ever had an affair with Jackie as that, given his strong moral convictions, would have been the ultimate betrayal to his Church and brother.
I've heard a couple of rumours from reliable sources that Bobbie had affairs (even with Marilyn)and that may be true. He was very religious but the flesh is weak, you know. And I also can imagine that in a tragic situation like the one Jackie and Bobby had to go through with loosing the husband/brother you may feel drawn to the shoulder you can cry on. Maybe they had one night together, who knows. We surely never will. But personally I can't really believe it. So I basically agree with you keeblerc, but for me it's Jackie i the first place who I think would have never ever slept with Bobby for the fact that he was married and had so many children. And no matter how bad the relationship between Jackie and Ethel may have been, Jackie knew too good how humiliated a betrayed wife feels and surely would have never done that to another woman. It just wasn't her style. It just would have been beneath her.
